Daily Devotionals

One of the missions here at Camp Chara is to go beyond a week of two of youth camps per a year. That is why we take the time to create lessons from God's word designed for youth to read daily and grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray each one of these devo's is a source of blessings and encouragement.

Worship

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” - John 4:24 (KJV)

The heart of a true worshipper must continuously be connected to an increasingly deeper level of the presence of God.

If a man is not connected to this presence, he is merely a singer or an entertainer.

The Lord says that those that worship Him must do so in spirit and truth. You cannot worship in spirit and truth when you are not in sync with the presence.

Indifference to this truth is the reason why some have decided to improvise on what can be defined as the presence of God.

When we use smoke machines in church, some have been deceived to think that the smoke translates as the glory of God. Louder instruments and louder shouting in worship is sometimes an improvisation for the inability to connect to the presence of God.

The Lord is calling us back to the heart of worship. If it truly is all about Him, then we must be able to see Him, taste Him, smell Him and Hear Him even as we worship.

Hallelujah!

  • 2nd Chronicles 5:14

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. My heart is yielded to You in true worship. As I lean into Your presence, heaven opens to me, miracles happen and lives are changed through my worship. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
