Daily Devotionals

One of the missions here at Camp Chara is to go beyond a week of two of youth camps per a year. That is why we take the time to create lessons from God's word designed for youth to read daily and grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray each one of these devo's is a source of blessings and encouragement.

The Precious Life in Us

John 10:10(KJV); The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The spirit of deception that is at work in this world has blinded many people to what death and life are.

Beauty has been ascribed to death because many never look beyond the physical world to the realities of the spiritual realm.

If you, as a student of the spirit, separate soul and spirit, joints and marrow, you will realise that there is a form of death upon the life of any man who does not have the life of Christ in him.

That person’s life may seem glossy and enriched by access to material pleasures. He may even be the epitome of good works who has won several awards in the arena of public opinion. The truth of the matter is, if he does not have Christ, everything about that man’s existence is death wrapped in a deceptively alluring package.

That is what makes the coming of Christ in the flesh such a phenomenal, earth and heaven shaking eternal milestone.

We were all dead! Imagine that!

Paul says in Ephesians 2:1 that we were DEAD in our trespasses and sins. But like our theme scripture reveals, Christ came that we might have life.

Jesus Christ did not come to the earth to make bad men good, He came to make dead men live!

When you received Him, He breathed into you the God life and plucked you out of the mire of death. You are alive, hallelujah! You are alive!

What does this mean to you?

Do not waste your precious mindspaceadmiring the people of this world and wishing you were like them.

What is in you cannot be bought with money. This precious life in you is constantly at work, spreading true beauty to your family, career and business.

It is shedding light along your paths of success. Because you are alive, your achievements will never be meaningless souvenirs gathered on a search for meaning, they will always be true milestones of divine purpose on the racetrack of your life.

Remind yourself every day that you are alive unto God! Zoe is in you. Zoe has made you unique!

Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: Jesus Christ did not come to the earth to make bad men good, He came to make dead men live. When you received Him, He breathed into you the God life and plucked you out of the mire of death. You are alive!

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. What a truth! I am alive! I rejoice in the reality of Your life in me! This life changes every thing that comes into contact with me for the better. This life heals, delivers and transforms me. I demonstrate it in how I speak, plan and act. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

DO WE REALLY HAVE A BLIND FAITH?

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God and that we must believe that He (God) IS. But, is our faith...
