Daily Devotionals

One of the missions here at Camp Chara is to go beyond a week of two of youth camps per a year. That is why we take the time to create lessons from God's word designed for youth to read daily and grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray each one of these devo's is a source of blessings and encouragement.

The God Who Hears Us

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
1 John 5:14-15 (KJV)

One time, a non-believer was asked who God is. He said, “Have you ever closed your eyes and desperately wished for something? The guy that ignores you—that is God.”

What deception!

The Lord says in our theme scripture, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us.”

What a privilege! What a blessed assurance! God hears us.

For many reasons best known to themselves, some Christians have ‘diagnosed’ God and concluded that He is deaf. Prayer for them is a gamble with no real assurance that heaven is paying attention.

Do you KNOW that He hears you?

This is not about assuming that He hears you or hoping that He hears you. This is KNOWING that He hears.

Think about this and understand the extent to which He hears. He hears a simple sigh; He hears the slightest wince in pain; He even hears when you say nothing! That is how much He hears!

When you get into your closet, remember that you have the Almighty God as your captivated audience. You have the avid and undivided attention of the creator of the universe. Pray in the excitement that the eyes of heaven are on you and that the angels are eager to execute your desires.

What glory! Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this Word. What a privilege to know that You hear me when I pray. I seek Your face in this confidence knowing that I have Your attention. Thank You for answers: for victory, deliverance, healing and success. In Jesus’ name, Amen
