Daily Devotionals

One of the missions here at Camp Chara is to go beyond a week of two of youth camps per a year. That is why we take the time to create lessons from God's word designed for youth to read daily and grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray each one of these devo's is a source of blessings and encouragement.

The Corridor of Faith

Got this Devotion from an Evangelist hope its helpful

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God… —Ephesians 2:8

I love the scripture found in Ephesians that says we are saved through faith. The original word God used for “saved” is the Greek word sozo. This word sozo means so much more than getting us into heaven. It literally means to save, deliver and preserve. It also means to make whole, heal and rescue from suffering. We don’t receive these things from God by wishful thinking. The Word of God instructs us that we obtain these wonderful promises through faith.

I remember when God put this revelation in my heart. I was down in Tulsa, Oklahoma studying the Word in my little office I had in the back of my two-bedroom, rented condo. In my spirit, I could see all of the goodness of God. It was way up there in the heaven lies. Between it and me there were warring demons and every kind of distraction you could imagine. Then, I saw a strip of access being created right in the middle of all of that noise and fighting. As this straight pathway was being formed, it forcefully cleared every single hindrance and obstacle from me to heaven. Once this corridor was finished, I could see that it ran straight from the throne of God directly to my inner man. Then God spoke directly to my spirit and said, “That’s faith, Kenney.”

I’ll never forget what I saw that day. The goodness of God, which before seemed so unreachable, could now shoot through that corridor at the speed of light. As quickly as I would see the need for forgiveness, healing or provision, it would literally travel through that heavenly pipeline from God’s storeroom to my life. It didn’t take days or weeks for the blessings and empowerments of God to traverse that distance. It was milliseconds.

When what you believe and what you expect is based on God’s Word and His will, your faith creates a pipeline into God’s goodness. By its very nature, this corridor of faith forcibly cuts a way through every lying spirit and distraction that stands against the promises of God. It is through this divine passage that we receive everything God has reserved and guaranteed in His Word.

Through faith, we receive and walk out our salvation. We are justified and made righteous by this faith. By faith, we are surrounded by God’s protection. Through faith we tap into the treasure of heaven and our needs are met with more than enough. By faith we are healed by His awesome power. By and through faith we are saved, delivered, preserved, made whole, and rescued from every type suffering. I’ll never forget the corridor of faith and I hope you never will either.

Scriptural Context Ephesians 2:1-10

Concept Reinforcement By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus' name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you can all see. —Acts 3:16

For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. —Romans 3:28

But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. —Galatians 3:22

And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. —Hebrews 11:32-34

DO WE REALLY HAVE A BLIND FAITH?

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God and that we must believe that He (God) IS. But, is our faith...
