SHINE WITH THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE SKY

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Daniel 12:3 KJV

This is probably one of my favorite passages of prophecy on the old testament. Not only because it speaks of the judgment seat of Christ but because it shows us how important the great commission (Mat. 28:19-20) is. In the verse it says that those who are wise will shine with the brightness of the sky. As a Floridian I can tell you that's a lot of brightness. And we all know how big of a deal wisdom is. Solomon even says in Proverbs 4:7 that "Wisdom is the principal thing". And wisdom is important, but think about how much more important soul winning is to God if "they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." So how can we accomplish this? Well there's a lot of ways you can help. The mission of the church as a whole is to spread the gospel so if you want to be "technical" anything you do at church can help. But let's be a bit more direct shall we? It really isn't hard to share the gospel, just invite a school friend to church, talk to a family member about Jesus, and the big one everyone is scared of you can go door to door and pass out tracts.
