Daily Devotionals

One of the missions here at Camp Chara is to go beyond a week of two of youth camps per a year. That is why we take the time to create lessons from God's word designed for youth to read daily and grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray each one of these devo's is a source of blessings and encouragement.

OF SOWING AND REAPING

*Of Sowing and Reaping *

Daily devotional

Galatians 6:7 (KJV); Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Life is governed by the law of seedtime and harvest.

In Genesis 8:22 the Bible says, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

You are a sum total of the seed you have sown.

We live in a world where many people focus on the harvest in other people’s lives but do not inquire about the seed.

Many want this harvest but few are sowing.

They desire the success of men or women in ministry, in business or in career but are oblivious to the principles that these men or women applied themselves to, in order to get where they are.

As such, some have concluded that these men and women are simply lucky.

No, there is no such thing as luck in the realm of the spirit. There are patterns and principles.

What is your seed? How much time have you invested in the Word, in God’s presence, your relationships or in knowledge? How much of yourself have you given to the things that you desire? How consistent are you in applying the principles of success?

Identify your seed and start to sow, child of God.

GOLDEN NUGGET: You are a sum total of the seed you have sown.

PRAYER: Lord, I thank You for this truth. My soul is aligned to this wisdom. I thank You because I know what to invest in and how to invest in it. By this knowledge, I walk in the things You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
