Daily Devotionals

One of the missions here at Camp Chara is to go beyond a week of two of youth camps per a year. That is why we take the time to create lessons from God's word designed for youth to read daily and grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray each one of these devo's is a source of blessings and encouragement.

In the Realm of Reflection

*2 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV);* And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

One of the greatest deceptions engineered by the enemy against the Church of Christ is the thought that all light translates into perfection.

As such, there is a tendency to assume that because something is of light, then it is perfect and if it is perfect, then it is of God. But like our theme scripture teaches, Satan himself can take on the form of light.

As a student of the Spirit and the realm in which God dwells, you must know that there is a limit to the devil’s ability to imitate and transform himself. He is a created being and because he is, there are laws that prevent him from imitating perfection in the realm of perfection.

Imperfection is the way of darkness.

In Matthew 6:23, the Lord says, “If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” Imperfection is in the realm of the fallen world.

Any form of light by the enemy will always have this limitation. With him, there can never be perfection in perfection. Rather, there will be darkness in that light, evil in any good and blessing accompanied with sorrow.

As believers, we have been called into the realm of perfection, where no amount of imitation can make us the victims of the enemy’s deception.

God desires for you to awaken to this higher consciousness. Live life above the naiveté of a man or woman who considers all light as light and all good as good. Your eyes of the spirit should be sharpened enough to see the darkness in any light and the evil in any good.

This is the wisdom to know the difference that God requires of every mature Christian.

*FURTHER STUDY:* Matthew 6:23, Isaiah 5:20-21

*PRAYER:* Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. I am not ignorant of the devices of the enemy and can never be deceived by any forms that he takes. I know how to discern good and evil because this wisdom is at work in me. I discern true perfection and walk in its patterns, to the glory of Your name, Amen.

DO WE REALLY HAVE A BLIND FAITH?

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God and that we must believe that He (God) IS. But, is our faith...
