*Genesis 1:27-29 (KJV);* So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Man was created into a realm of rest. He was placed into a world where whatever he needed had already been made available by God. This rest was the only way he could enjoy the privileges of the liberties God had in store for him.
God knew that a man who is not at rest cannot enjoy the liberties of the Spirit because the focus of such a man would be on solving his more imminent needs, such as food, security and shelter. In Hebrews 4:10, the Bible explains this when it says that he that has entered into his rest has ceased from his own works. Rest focuses a man on the important things.
This privilege of rest did not stop in the garden at Eden. It has been extended to the new believer in Christ Jesus. God has shaped and designed your life in such a way that there is absolutely nothing that you lack. He says that He has placed the world and eternity in your heart (Ecclesiastes 3:11). He says that He has given you all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). He says that all things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21).
All these things were prepared for you in order to awaken you to the liberties God has accorded you in the spirit realm.
What is the greatest liberty of the new believer? It is to know Him. There is no higher liberty than that of the true, pure and unadulterated knowledge of God and His person.
You have all that you will ever need. God is calling you to take your eyes off material things and focus on Him. There is no higher purpose than this.
Hallelujah!
