Daily Devotionals

One of the missions here at Camp Chara is to go beyond a week of two of youth camps per a year. That is why we take the time to create lessons from God's word designed for youth to read daily and grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray each one of these devo's is a source of blessings and encouragement.

Discipled By the Word pt. 2

Mark 4:33-34(KJV); And with many such parables spakehe the word unto them, as they were able to hear it. But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

Christ’s discipleship of His own did not end when He left the earth. He continues to disciple us today through His Word.

The Bible is a parable to the men of this world and to the multitudes that claim to know bits and pieces of what it says. However, to us as children of the Most High God, Christ expounds all these parables to us through the Spirit of revelation.

What if you are a Born Again Christian who is still genuinely struggling to understand the Bible?

Well, the Lord says to you the very same thing He told His disciples then, “It is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom.” (Matthew 13:11).The Word of God should not be a mystery to you. The same way He expounded all things to the disciples when He walked the earth is the same way that He expounds all things to us today.

The question to you beloved of God is this; “Are you willing to be a disciple of the Word?”

Some Christians are disciples of men and erroneously assume that this makes them disciples of the Word. Quoting another man’s sermon word for word and repeating his revelations mystery by mystery does not make you a disciple of the Word.

If you understand that God is in the habit of expounding the scriptures to us, never allow yourself to wander in a maze of confusion. You are not among the multitudes who can only have parables, you are in the circle entitled to the revelation of the mysteries of the kingdom.

Always remember that the Holy Spirit is our ever-amazing guide and is passionate about teaching us all things (John 14:26). If you puzzle over certain portions of scripture, be humble enough and simply ask Him to explain it to you more deeply. You will be amazed by what He can reveal to a heart that is ready to listen.

His name be praised!

FURTHER STUDY: Matthew 13:11, John 14:26

GOLDEN NUGGET: The Bible is a parable to the men of this world and to the multitudes that claim to know bits and pieces of what it says. However, to us as children of the Most High God, Christ expounds all these parables to us through the Spirit of revelation.

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for Your Word. I thank You for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Because I am a student and disciple of the Word, the Bible is open to me, I know its depths, heights, lengths and breadths. My every moment in Your Word is a moment to be launched into greater depths. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

DO WE REALLY HAVE A BLIND FAITH?

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God and that we must believe that He (God) IS. But, is our faith...
