Daily Devotionals

One of the missions here at Camp Chara is to go beyond a week of two of youth camps per a year. That is why we take the time to create lessons from God's word designed for youth to read daily and grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray each one of these devo's is a source of blessings and encouragement.

Attentive to His Voice

”For God may speak in one way, or in another, yet man does not perceive it.” Job 33:14 (NKJV)

God is always speaking. However, some times, people are never listening.

There are Christians who claim that God doesn’t speak to them, they yearn to hear Him and to know what He has to say about the circumstances of their lives but He appears silent.

That is not so, child of God. Our theme scripture reveals that He always answers even when people do not recognize His presence.

The reason why most people do not hear God is because they underestimate the diversity of ways in which He speaks. They are seeking for the spectacular through a loud and thunderous voice yet God speaks in more ways than that.

In Proverbs 3:6, the scriptures give us divine instruction on how to relate with the voice of God. The Bible says,

Acknowledge the Lord in all your ways and he shall direct your Path.” Proverbs 3:6 (KJV)

Are you struggling with a decision? Are you faced with a mountain you are not sure how to climb? Are you struggling with questions for which you seem to have no answers? One thing is certain, God is speaking.

Listen for His voice in His Word, through sermon teachings, through the counsel of a man or woman of God, through your fellow brethren, even in His silence He is speaking!

Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for the clarity of Your voice and for Your constant instructions in everything that I do. There is no step I take in life without Your guidance because my spirit is alive to the fact that You are always speaking to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
