Daily Devotionals

One of the missions here at Camp Chara is to go beyond a week of two of youth camps per a year. That is why we take the time to create lessons from God's word designed for youth to read daily and grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray each one of these devo's is a source of blessings and encouragement.

Abounding in Judgement

Chara Devotional; Of abounding in Judgement

Philippians 1:9 (KJV); And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment

God is calling upon the Church of Christ to develop a deeper understanding of His judgments.

This knowledge of His judgments is what distinguishes the man or woman of God that is functioning merely by the gift of God in his or her life and the man or woman of God that has matured in their knowledge of and relationship with God.

No man can claim to love God without understanding His judgments because love must abound in all knowledge and judgment.

People who do not understand these judgments often go against the tide of the Spirit. These are men who will sing when He needs them to pray; shout when He needs them to be silent and will be silent when He wants them to speak.

If you do not understand the judgments of God, when the Spirit is grieving, you will think He is happy.

To grow in the discernment of his judgments, allow God to deal with your heart because in doing so, He is able to communicate to you His desires, thoughts and purposes.

FURTHER STUDY: 1 Corinthians 11:31, 1 Corinthians 14:20

PRAYER: Father, I am thankful for this truth. I understand the judgments of the Spirit. This wisdom is at work in me and causes me to have a deeper respect for my altar, my assignment and the mandate you have for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen
